HoxC8 Antibody (1H2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HoxC8 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-HoxC8 antibody (1H2) is available as the non-conjugated format. HoxC8 protein plays a crucial role in regulating developmental processes and cellular differentiation by influencing downstream target gene expression. HoxC8 is involved in DNA-protein and protein-protein interactions essential for establishing morphologic features along the anterior-posterior body axis. Located within homeobox region 3, HoxC8 is one of several homeobox genes orchestrating tissue development. HoxC8 expression in chondrocytes is vital for skeletal development, helping regulate cell progression along the chondrocyte differentiation pathway. Abnormalities in HoxC8 expression, such as HOXC8 transgene overexpression, can lead to significant cartilage defects characterized by increased proliferating chondrocytes and impaired maturation, highlighting precise regulation needs for normal skeletal morphology.
