FNDC3A Antibody (J-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects FNDC3A of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FNDC3A antibody (J-7) is available as the non-conjugated form. FNDC3A, or fibronectin type III domain containing 3A, is a 1,134 amino acid protein that belongs to the FNDC3 family and is characterized by an N-terminal proline-rich region, nine fibronectin type-III domains, and a hydrophobic C-terminal transmembranous helix. This structural composition facilitates FNDC3A′s role in cellular interactions and signaling pathways. FNDC3A shows predominant expression in various tissues, particularly localizing to Golgi vesicles and the developing acrosome of spermatids, highlighting FNDC3A′s significance in reproductive biology. FNDC3A plays a key role in glycosaminoglycan and collagen synthesis, which are essential for maintaining the structural integrity of extracellular matrices. In mouse studies, mutations in FNDC3A have been linked to male sterility, underscoring FNDC3A′s vital function in spermatogenesis by mediating adhesion between Sertoli cells and spermatids within the seminiferous epithelium. These findings suggest FNDC3A′s importance in normal reproductive function and potential as a biomarker for fertility-related studies.
