QUICK LINKS

Fasciculatin is a furanosesterterpene secondary marine metabolite isolated from marine sponges and discovered in Aplysilla sulfurea Schulze. Fasciculatin isolated from Ircinia variabilis displayed moderate cytotoxicity against cancer cell lines MCF-7, NCI-H460 and SF-268 with respective IC50 values of 47.11 ± 0.93, 64.49 ± 0.84 and 72.45 ± 2.19. In the same study the compound displayed no activity towards the proliferation of human lymphocytes.
