SEE ALSO...

Eme1 Antibody (A-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Eme1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Eme1 (A-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Essential meiotic endonuclease 1 (Eme1) plays a critical role in DNA repair and recombination processes, particularly during meiosis and mitosis. Eme1 is a member of the Eme1/Mms4 family and forms a heterodimeric complex with MUS81, which is essential for cleaving branched DNA structures that can arise during DNA replication stress, such as stalled replication forks and 3′ DNA flaps. The MUS81-Eme1 complex resolves synthetic Holliday junctions into linear duplex DNA, highlighting Eme1′s importance in maintaining genomic stability. Eme1 primarily localizes to the nucleolus and is recruited to sites of DNA damage during the S phase of the cell cycle, underscoring Eme1′s vital role in the cellular response to DNA damage and the preservation of genetic integrity.

How can Eme1 (A-9): sc-393363 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

Asked by: cjMara
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to HRP (sc-393363 HRP), phycoerythrin (sc-393363 PE), fluoroscein (sc-393363 FITC) and AlexaFluors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Work well for western blotI used this antibody for detecting mouse Eme1 in lysate prepared from MEFs. A single band corresponding to the molecular weight of Eme1 was detected and no background/non-specific bands in the surrounding regions.
