DEPDC1 Antibody (6H1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects DEPDC1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-DEPDC1 antibody (6H1) is available as a non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. DEPDC1 protein, also known as DEP.8, SDP35, DEPDC1A, or DEPDC1-V2, is a 784 amino acid nuclear protein primarily expressed in testis and notably up-regulated in bladder cancer cells. DEPDC1 contains a DEP domain and a Rho-GAP domain, which are crucial for cellular signaling pathways that regulate cell growth and differentiation. DEPDC1′s importance in bladder cancer is underscored by potential as a novel therapeutic target, as DEPDC1 may influence cancer cell proliferation. Additionally, DEPDC1 exists in five isoforms generated through alternative splicing, reflecting regulation and function complexity. DEPDC1 gene is located on human chromosome 1, a region spanning 260 million base pairs and containing over 3,000 genes, accounting for nearly 8% of human genome. This chromosome is rich in disease-associated genes, including those linked to familial adenomatous polyposis and Parkinson′s disease, and aberrations in chromosome 1 are frequently observed in several cancers, including head and neck cancer and malignant melanoma.
