DBH Antibody (8.F.304) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects dopamine beta-hydroxylase (DBH) in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). DBH plays a crucial role in the biosynthesis of catecholamines by catalyzing the conversion of dopamine to noradrenaline, which is essential for various physiological processes, including the regulation of mood, attention, and the body′s response to stress. DBH is predominantly expressed in noradrenergic and adrenergic neurons, as well as in neuroendocrine cells, making DBH a specific marker for noradrenergic activity. Transcriptional regulation of DBH is mediated by key proteins such as Sp1, CREB, and AP-1 family members, including c-Fos, c-Jun, and JunD, underscoring the complexity of DBH expression control.
