Produced from Ins(1,2,3,5,6)P5 via a minor enzymatic phytate degradation pathway by K. terrigena.1 Ins(2,3,5,6)-P4 (sodium salt) is moderately effective in opening Ca2+ channels relative to Ins(1,4,5)P3.2
