    SEE ALSO...

CIB2 Antibody (CIB2C12B11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CIB2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-CIB2 antibody (CIB2C12B11) is available as a non-conjugated format. CIB2, or Calcium and integrin-binding family member 2, is a 187 amino acid protein encoded by the human gene CIB2 and is characterized by three EF-hand domains, which are critical for calcium binding. CIB2 plays a significant role in various cellular signaling pathways, particularly in muscle tissue, where CIB2 interacts with integrins and calcium to mediate cellular responses. CIB2 is closely related to CIB1, which is known for its role in platelet function and signal transduction. CIB2 expression is significantly reduced in conditions such as Laminin α-2 chain deficiency, suggesting involvement in the pathogenesis of congenital muscular dystrophies like MDC1A. CIB2′s ability to bind to Integrin α7 and calcium highlights a multifaceted role in muscle signaling and development, making CIB2 an important target for research into muscle-related diseases and signaling mechanisms.

I am using CIB2 (CIB2C12B11): sc-81068 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunoprecipitation protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoprecipitation-western-blots
