CD98 Antibody (H202-141) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects CD98 of mouse origin by immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CD98 antibody (H202-141) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CD98, also known as SLC3A2, is a disulfide-linked heterodimer consisting of a glycosylated heavy chain and a non-glycosylated light chain, which plays a crucial role in cellular functions. CD98 is primarily located in the plasma membrane of various cell types, including T cells, monocytes, and to a lesser extent, granulocytes, platelets, and lymphocytes. CD98 on the cell surface functions as a scaffolding protein that interacts with basolaterally expressed amino acid transporters and β1 integrins, thereby influencing amino acid transport, cell adhesion, migration, and branching morphogenesis. CD98 is upregulated upon T cell activation, suggesting involvement in the regulation of T cell activation and proliferation. Alternate transcriptional splice variants exist for the human CD98 gene, encoding different isoforms that may have distinct functional roles.

How can CD98 (H202-141): sc-20018 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

Asked by: AbPolly
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-20018 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-20018 FITC).
