QUICK LINKS

C-Methylcalix[4]resorcinarene is a macrocyclic compound belonging to the family of calixarenes. It is derived from resorcinol, a benzene derivative, through a reaction known as alkylation. C-Methylcalix[4]resorcinarene has a unique three-dimensional structure, characterized by a large central cavity and a rim composed of four aromatic rings. The term "C-Methyl" indicates the presence of methyl groups attached to the carbon atoms of the calix[4]resorcinarene skeleton.
