QUICK LINKS

Astragaloside IV is a compound that functions as an anti-inflammatory agent by inhibiting the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and mediators. It also acts as an antioxidant, scavenging free radicals and reducing oxidative stress in cells. At the molecular level, Astragaloside IV modulates the expression of genes involved in the inflammatory response and oxidative stress pathways. It may enhance the activity of certain enzymes involved in cellular antioxidant defense mechanisms. Astragaloside IV also plays a role in promoting cell proliferation and inhibiting apoptosis, contributing to its potential protective effects on cells and tissues. Its mode of action involves interacting with specific cellular signaling pathways, ultimately influencing cellular responses to inflammation and oxidative stress. Astragaloside IV demonstrates potential as a research tool for studying the molecular mechanisms underlying inflammation, oxidative stress, and cellular protection.
