SEE ALSO...

ASH1L Antibody (ASH5H03) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ASH1L protein of human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-ASH1L antibody (ASH5H03) is available as a non-conjugated format. ASH1L, or Absent small and homeotic disks protein 1 homolog, is a 2,969 amino acid protein encoded by the human gene ASH1L and is a member of the histone-lysine methyltransferase family, specifically the SET2 subfamily. ASH1L features a complex structure that includes three AT hook DNA-binding domains, one AWS domain, one BAH domain, one bromodomain, one PHD-type zinc finger, one post-SET domain, and one SET domain, which collectively contribute to gene regulation function. ASH1L is predominantly expressed in the nucleus, with highest levels found in the brain, heart, and kidney, highlighting a critical role in cellular processes in these vital organs. As a histone methyltransferase, ASH1L specifically methylates Lys-4 of Histone H3, a modification that serves as a key epigenetic marker for transcriptional activation, thereby influencing gene expression and cellular differentiation. ASH1L′s ability to regulate gene expression through histone modification underscores importance in developmental biology and potential implications in various diseases, including cancer.

I am using ASH1L (ASH5H03): sc-81052 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunoprecipitation protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoprecipitation-western-blots
