Acetyl-Pepstatin is an aspartyl protease inhibitor. It has been found to effectively inhibit HIV-1 proteinase and HIV-2 proteinase. It was also found to suppress 125I-H77, a renin inhibitor, from binding to other aspartyl proteases.
