QUICK LINKS

6-[Fluorescein-5(6)-carboxamido]hexanoic acid N-hydroxysuccinimide ester is an N-hydroxysuccinimide ester derivative of the fluorescent compound Fluorescein (sc-215040, sc-206026). Reaction between 6-[Fluorescein-5(6)-carboxamido]hexanoic acid N-hydroxysuccinimide ester and a nucleophilic residue of a target compound introduces the Fluorescein tag onto the compound. The compound Fluorescein 5(6)-isothiocyanate (sc-215042), derivatized with an isothiocyanate group, is similarly used for introducing the Fluorescein tag to compounds.
