PLC γ1 Antibody (B-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects phospholipase C gamma 1 (PLC γ1) in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PLC γ1 plays a pivotal role in receptor-mediated signal transduction by generating second messengers inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate and diacylglycerol from phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate, which are essential for various cellular processes. PLC γ1 is widely distributed in bronchiolar epithelium, type I and II pneumocytes, and fibroblasts of the interstitial tissue, highlighting importance in respiratory function and cellular communication. Notably, PLC γ1 interacts with actin-regulatory protein Villin, which is tyrosine phosphorylated and associates with PLC γ1 in the brush border of intestinal epithelial cells, thereby regulating activity and influencing cellular adhesion through Integrin α1/β1.
