Does the OctA-Probe Antibody (H-5): sc-166355 recognizes the 3x Flag: DYKDHDG-DYKDHDI-DYKDDDDK as it does for Flag: DYKDDDDK ? I could not find the actual amino acid sequence of the Octa (eight) peptide in Santa Cruz site. Thanks!

Has anyone used it for detection of FLAG-tagged proteins by flow cytometry? I can't find any sample data. I know it works ok for WB, but I would like to see that someone had it working for flow before I buy a PE conjugate...

Asked by: tamois
We are not yet aware of any product citations using this antibody for flow cytometry. The conjugated primary antibody is recommended and warrantied for flow cytometry (FCM), however we are still gathering data to show on our website. Check back for updates!

Where does this protein(FLAG) express in paraffin embedded colon samples when do immune histochemistry?

Asked by: rujingai
Thank you for your question. That is a question we can't answer for you as it depends on the expression of the protein you have tagged with the Flag Tag (OctA probe). Please contact Technical Service if you have any further questions.

I need to use an antibody to detect the protein in samples of (other species, e.g., bovine, porcine, canine, equine, avian, non-mammalian) origin. Do you know if this mouse monoclonal antibody will work?

Asked by: Sweetums
Please contact our Technical Service Department and we would be happy to perform sequence analysis and review our data to answer any questions you may have about additional species reactivity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect antibody to FLAG (DDK) peptide I used this clone to detect FLAG (DDK)-tagged protein in western blotting and immunocytostaining. This antibody was also used for immunoprecipitation. All application was done by this antibody. Well done.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, but not great! We used at 1:500 dilution with imunoprecipitated samples from HEK in FLAG overexpressed cells. We saw some non-specific bands, but we did see the desired band.
