SEE ALSO...

LHX5 Antibody (KP-02) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects LHX5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LHX5 (KP-02) antibody is available as the non-conjugated form. LHX5 protein plays a critical role in the development of the central nervous system, particularly in the hippocampus, where LHX5 is involved in the regulation of precursor cell proliferation and neuronal differentiation. This regulation is essential for proper hippocampal development, which is crucial for cognitive functions such as learning and memory. LHX5 protein is characterized by a LIM domain, a unique cysteine-rich zinc-binding domain that facilitates protein-protein interactions, allowing LHX5 to influence the expression of other genes involved in neuronal development. Human LHX5 gene is located on chromosome 12q23-q24 and encodes a 402 amino acid protein, which is part of a larger family of LIM-type homeodomain factors that guide motor axons and ensure the fidelity of axonal trajectories during development. By understanding LHX5 function and importance, researchers can gain insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying neurodevelopmental processes and potential implications in neurological disorders.

I am using LHX5 (KP-02): sc-130469 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
