Can Integrin α5 (P1D6): sc-13547 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, Integrin α5 (P1D6): sc-13547 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.

Integrin α5 抗体 (P1D6): sc-13547，can this antibody be used for block experiemnt, inhibition the function of Integrin a5?

Thank you for your question. This mouse monoclonal antibody, Integrin α5 (P1D6): sc-13547, is not recommended for blocking or inhibition studies of the Integrin α5 protein. We have not tested the antibody in this type of biological activity application. And we are not aware of any literature citing use of the antibody in this application. Integrin α5 (P1D6): sc-13547 is currently recommended for detection of Integrin α5 of human and primate origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and FCM.

This antibody works great on human kidney tissues. The IHC results look identical as another α5 antibody (MFR5/5H10): sc-23941.
