    SEE ALSO...

Hep A VP3 Antibody (5E306) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Hep A VP3 protein of Hep A origin by immunofluorescence (IF) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Hep A VP3 antibody (5E306) is available as the non-conjugated format. Hep A VP3 (Hep A virion protein 3) is a crucial capsid protein that plays a significant role in the virus′s life cycle, being involved in the assembly and stability of the viral capsid. Hep A VP3 contains an amino terminal T cell epitope, which is essential for eliciting an immune response, and couples to liposomes, enhancing potential as a target for vaccine development. The Hepatitis A virus, an enterovirus responsible for causing liver inflammation, is primarily transmitted through the orofecal route, often via contaminated food, leading to acute hepatitis. Symptoms of Hepatitis A can include jaundice, dark urine, nausea, fever, fatigue, loss of appetite, stomach ache, and vomiting, although only about 75% of infected individuals exhibit symptoms. Hep A infection typically does not result in permanent liver damage, making Hep A VP3 protein and its interactions vital for developing effective therapeutic strategies and vaccines.
