EAF1 Antibody (A-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects EAF1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-EAF1 antibody (A-10) is available as the non-conjugated form. EAF1, or ELL-associated factor 1, plays a crucial role in regulating transcription elongation by interacting with the ELL family of RNA polymerase II elongation factors, specifically ELL and ELL2. This interaction enhances transcriptional activity of elongation factors, facilitating efficient progression of RNA polymerase II along DNA template. EAF1 is integral to stability of NuA4 histone acetyltransferase complex, essential for acetylation of histones H4 and H2A, leading to transcriptional activation of specific genes. EAF1 is predominantly localized in Cajal bodies and nuclear speckles, where EAF1 colocalizes with ELL, underscoring importance in nuclear architecture and gene expression regulation. EAF1 contains a unique C-terminal region enriched in aspartic acid, glutamic acid, and serine residues, potentially involved in functional interactions and post-translational modifications. Understanding of EAF1′s function and interactions is critical, as dysregulation of transcription elongation can lead to various diseases, including cancer.
