Coenzyme A, trilithium salt (CAT) is a cofactor in enzymatic acetyl transfer reactions. It works by binding to the active sites of enzymes and proteins, allowing them to be activated or inhibited. It also binds to drugs and fatty acids, allowing them to be more easily metabolized.
