CEP104 Antibody (G-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CEP104 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CEP104 antibody (G-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CEP104, also known as centrosomal protein 104kDa, KIAA0562, or GlyBP, is a 925 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in the organization and function of the centrosome, which is essential for proper cell division and maintaining genomic stability. CEP104 localizes to the cytoplasm and is involved in the assembly of microtubules and regulation of cilia formation, both vital for cellular signaling and movement. CEP104 undergoes phosphorylation at serine residue 323, a modification that can influence activity and protein interactions. CEP104 exists as three alternatively spliced isoforms and is mapped to human chromosome 1, which is the largest chromosome in the human genome and is associated with numerous genetic disorders. Understanding CEP104 function and interactions is critical, as dysregulation of centrosomal proteins can lead to various diseases, including cancer and ciliopathies.
