    SEE ALSO...

ACBD4 Antibody (G-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ACBD4 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ACBD4 antibody (G-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The acyl-CoA-binding domain-containing protein 4 (ACBD4) is a crucial 268 amino acid protein characterized by a single acyl-CoA-binding domain, which plays a significant role in lipid metabolism and cellular signaling. ACBD4 is primarily located in the cytoplasm and is involved in the transport and metabolism of acyl-CoA esters, which are essential for fatty acid oxidation and energy production. Proper functioning of ACBD4 is vital for maintaining cellular energy homeostasis, and dysregulation has been implicated in various metabolic disorders and diseases. ACBD4 exists in three isoforms due to alternative splicing, which may contribute to functional diversity and regulatory mechanisms within different tissues. The gene encoding ACBD4 is located on human chromosome 17, a region that is also home to important tumor suppressor genes such as p53 and BRCA1, highlighting potential significance in cancer biology and metabolic regulation.
