Nek9 Antibody (39-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Nek9 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Nek9 antibody (39-7) is available as non-conjugated format. Nek9, also known as NIMA (never in mitosis gene a)-related kinase 9, plays a crucial role in regulating cell cycle progression, particularly during G1/S transition and S phase, by influencing spindle dynamics and chromosome separation. This regulation is vital for maintaining genomic stability and ensuring proper cell division, which is essential for normal development and tissue homeostasis. With a length of 979 amino acids, Nek9 is predominantly localized in cytoplasm and nucleus, and shows high expression in liver, heart, kidney, and testis, while maintaining lower levels in fibroblasts and smooth muscle cells. Nek9 undergoes phosphorylation on serine and threonine residues, which is a key mechanism for modulating activity and interactions with other proteins. Notably, Nek9 interacts with several important proteins, including Ran GTPase, Nek6, Nek7, BICD2, SSRP1, and SUPT16H/FACT complex, highlighting an integral role in cellular processes.

I am using Nek9 (39-7): sc-100401 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
