GATA-1 Antibody (N1) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects GATA-1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). GATA-1 (N1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GATA-1 plays a crucial role in erythropoiesis, as GATA-1 is essential for the transcriptional regulation of erythroid-specific genes, thereby influencing the development of red blood cells. GATA-1 is primarily located in the nucleus, where GATA-1 binds to the WGATAR consensus sequence through its conserved zinc finger DNA-binding domain, facilitating the expression of genes necessary for erythroid lineage commitment. Nuclear localization of GATA-1 enables precise control over gene expression during hematopoiesis, ensuring the proper formation and function of erythrocytes. GATA-1 interacts with other GATA family members, such as GATA-2 and GATA-3, which exhibit broader regulatory capabilities, highlighting the intricate network of transcription factors that govern blood cell development.
