CAP1 Antibody (D-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects cyclase-associated protein 1 (CAP1) in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CAP1 plays a crucial role in the regulation of actin filaments, which are essential for maintaining cell shape, motility, and intracellular transport. By mediating processes such as the establishment of cell polarity and mRNA localization, CAP1 is vital for proper cellular function and organization. CAP1′s localization to the cell membrane allows effective interaction with the actin cytoskeleton, influencing various signaling pathways critical for cell growth and differentiation. CAP1 expression throughout the body highlights CAP1′s importance in diverse physiological processes. Anti-CAP1 antibody (D-9) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying the dynamics of the actin cytoskeleton and its implications in health and disease, including potential links to cancer progression.

What is the recommended fixation method for immunofluorescence staining with CAP1 (D-9): sc-376512 monoclonal antibody?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend fixing cells for 5 minutes in -10°C methanol and allowing to air dry. The full protocol can be viewed here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
