Bcl-xL Antibody (7B2.5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 antibody that detects Bcl-xL in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Bcl-xL antibody (7B2.5) is available in a non-conjugated form, providing flexibility for various experimental setups. Bcl-xL, a critical regulator of apoptosis, plays a vital role in cell survival by inhibiting programmed cell death in response to various stressors. Bcl-xL (7B2.5) antibody targets a protein predominantly located in the outer mitochondrial membrane, where Bcl-xL functions to prevent the release of pro-apoptotic factors, maintaining cellular integrity and promoting cell survival. Bcl-xL′s presence at the mitochondria is essential for interaction with other key proteins involved in the apoptotic pathway, such as Bax and Bad. These interactions are crucial for the balance between cell survival and apoptosis, making Bcl-xL a significant player in cancer biology and therapeutic resistance. Understanding Bcl-xL dynamics and localization provides insights into potential therapeutic targets for enhancing apoptosis in cancer cells, thereby improving treatment outcomes.
