SDAD1 Antibody (C-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SDAD1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SDAD1 (C-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SDAD1 protein, also known as SDA1 domain-containing protein 1, consists of 687 amino acids and plays a crucial role in the export of 60S pre-ribosomal subunits to the cytoplasm, which is essential for ribosome biogenesis and protein synthesis. SDAD1 protein is predominantly expressed in the testis, kidney, spleen, brain, and fetal tissues, with lower expression levels found in the heart, lung, liver, small intestine, ovary, uterus, mammary gland, and placenta. Notably, variations in the SDAD1 gene have been associated with susceptibility to seasonal allergic rhinitis, a common allergic disorder characterized by sneezing, rhinorrhea, and nasal mucosa swelling. Furthermore, SDAD1 translation regulation is influenced by interactions with DAZL and Pumilio 2, which bind to the 3′-untranslated region of SDAD1 mRNA. SDAD1 gene exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms and is conserved across a wide range of species, including chimpanzees, dogs, cows, and various model organisms, mapping to human chromosome 4q21.1.
