Sarcalumenin Antibody (XIIC4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Sarcalumenin protein of mouse, rat, human, rabbit, and canine origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-Sarcalumenin antibody (XIIC4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Sarcalumenin plays a crucial role in muscle physiology by facilitating calcium handling within the sarcoplasmic reticulum, which is essential for muscle contraction and relaxation. Sarcalumenin is located in the longitudinal tubules of the sarcoplasmic reticulum in striated muscle cells, where Sarcalumenin binds calcium ions and helps sequester them in nonjunctional regions. This localization ensures efficient calcium storage and release, allowing for rapid muscle responses during contraction and relaxation cycles. Sarcalumenin interacts with calcium pump proteins, enhancing their function and contributing to overall calcium homeostasis in muscle cells. While basic muscle functions can occur without Sarcalumenin, absence of Sarcalumenin leads to impaired contraction and relaxation dynamics, highlighting Sarcalumenin′s importance in maintaining muscle performance and health.

Are there any issues with using sc-58845: Sarcalumenin (XIIC4) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-58845 conjugates.
