PU.1 Antibody (C-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PU.1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PU.1 antibody (C-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PU.1 plays a crucial role in hematopoiesis and is essential for the development and function of various immune cells, including B cells and myeloid cells. PU.1 acts as a transcription factor that regulates the expression of genes involved in immune responses, such as those encoding CD72, CD20, and Bruton′s tyrosine kinase (Btk). PU.1′s importance lies in its ability to influence lymphoid lineage commitment and differentiation, making PU.1 a key player in the immune system′s development and function. PU.1 interacts with other transcription factors, such as Spi-B, to enhance the expression of shared target genes, thereby coordinating the immune response. The Ets transcription factor family, to which PU.1 belongs, is characterized by its unique winged helix-turn-helix motif known as the Ets domain, which allows these proteins to bind to specific DNA sequences and regulate gene expression. Understanding PU.1′s function and interactions is vital for elucidating the mechanisms underlying immune cell development and the potential implications in immunological disorders.
