Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen, also known as cyclin, is a highly conserved nuclear protein that plays a critical role in DNA replication and repair. Functioning as a sliding clamp, Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen forms a homotrimeric ring around DNA, facilitating the processivity of DNA polymerases delta (δ) and epsilon (ε) during replication.
