- peptide substrate for MEK (MAP kinase kinase) and tyrosine protein kinases such as Lck p56; Km for Lck p56 tyrosine phosphorylation 170 µM, 0.5 mg (lyophilized)
- sequence: ADPDHDHTGFLTE YVATRWRR
- corresponds to amino acids 172-190 containing Thr 183 and Tyr 185 within the regulatory sequence common to ERK 1 and ERK 2 MAP kinases (plus 2 COOH terminal Arg residues)
- Store lyophilized MEK-1 substrate at -20° C. Stable for at least one year from the date of shipment. Once resuspended, store at 4° C for short term storage or -80° C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
- Resuspend MEK-1 substrate in 100 µl of sterile water. Resuspension of the MEK-1 substrate in 100 µl of sterile water makes a 5 mg/ml solution.
