SEE ALSO...

GM-CSFRα Antibody (4H1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects GM-CSFRα in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). GM-CSFRα, or Granulocyte-Macrophage Colony-Stimulating Factor Receptor Alpha, plays a crucial role in hematopoiesis and immune response by mediating the effects of granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), which is essential for the proliferation, differentiation, and survival of myeloid cells. GM-CSFRα is primarily located on the surface of hematopoietic cells, where GM-CSFRα forms a functional receptor complex with the common β subunit, enabling high-affinity binding to GM-CSF. This interaction is vital for the activation of downstream signaling pathways that promote cell survival and proliferation, highlighting GM-CSFRα′s importance in maintaining immune homeostasis and responding to inflammatory stimuli. Anti-GM-CSFRα antibody (4H1) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying the role of GM-CSF in various physiological and pathological processes, including implications in cancer, autoimmune diseases, and other immune disorders.

Can GM-CSFRα (4H1): sc-21764 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, GM-CSFRα (4H1): sc-21764 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
