DR5 Antibody (7F4-F8-G11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG antibody that detects DR5 in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB) and immunofluorescence (IF) applications. Anti-DR5 antibody (7F4-F8-G11) is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile experimental setups. DR5, also known as death receptor 5, plays a crucial role in mediating apoptosis through interaction with the cytokine TRAIL (TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand). This interaction is vital for regulating programmed cell death, which is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and eliminating damaged or cancerous cells. DR5′s ability to initiate apoptosis makes DR5 a significant target in cancer therapy, as enhancing DR5 signaling pathway can promote the death of tumor cells. Additionally, DR5 is part of the larger TNF receptor superfamily, which includes other important receptors involved in immune responses and cell survival. Understanding DR5 function and signaling mechanisms is critical for developing therapeutic strategies aimed at manipulating apoptosis in various diseases, particularly in oncology.
