SEE ALSO...

TAG-72 Antibody (0.N.561) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects tumor-associated glycoprotein 72 (TAG-72) in mouse, rat, human, and bovine samples through applications such as immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). TAG-72 is a high molecular weight glycoprotein predominantly localized to the cytoplasm and cell membrane of malignant cells, playing a crucial role in tumor biology as a marker for various cancers. TAG-72 expression is notably high in approximately 80% of colorectal carcinomas, while being rarely found in normal epithelial tissues and benign conditions, making TAG-72 a valuable target for cancer diagnostics and therapeutics. TAG-72 is significantly expressed in low-grade mucoepidermoid carcinomas and is associated with several gynecologic malignancies, including common epithelial ovarian and endometrial carcinomas. In human prostatic adenocarcinomas, TAG-72 expression has been shown to negatively correlate with the Gleason grade of differentiation, indicating TAG-72′s potential as a prognostic marker. TAG-72 is expressed in the majority of gastric, esophageal, pancreatic, and non-small cell lung carcinomas, highlighting TAG-72′s broad relevance in oncology. TAG-72′s ability to aid in the purification of primary ovarian cancer cells from patient ascites further underscores TAG-72′s importance in cancer research and treatment strategies. Anti-TAG-72 antibody (0.N.561) is an essential tool for researchers aiming to explore TAG-72′s role in various malignancies and potential as a therapeutic target.
