PLU-1 Antibody (7H3D7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PLU-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PLU-1 (7H3D7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PLU-1, consisting of 1,544 amino acids, is primarily located in the nucleus and plays a crucial role in transcriptional regulation, particularly during development. PLU-1 interacts with key developmental transcription factors such as brain factor-1 (BF-1) and paired box 9 (PAX9), which are essential for proper cellular differentiation and organogenesis. As a member of the ARID family of DNA-binding proteins, PLU-1 exhibits strong transcriptional repression properties, making PLU-1 significant in gene expression regulation. PLU-1 shows restricted expression in adult tissues, with high levels in testis and transient expression in pregnant mammary gland, and PLU-1 gene and protein are specifically upregulated in breast cancer, suggesting a potential role in tumorigenesis. PLU-1′s association with chromatin further underscores PLU-1′s importance in meiotic transcription, highlighting PLU-1′s relevance in both normal development and cancer biology.
