MAP LC3β Antibody (G-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that targets MAP LC3β, also known as LC3B or MAP1LC3B, and its isoform MAP LC3β2 in human, mouse, and rat species. Anti-MAP LC3β antibody (G-9) is specific for an epitope spanning amino acids 3-39 near the N-terminus of the human MAP LC3β protein, making it ideal for applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MAP LC3β is a crucial member of the microtubule-associated proteins that regulate microtubule stability, which is essential for neuronal development and maintaining the balance between neuronal plasticity and structural integrity. Within the cell, MAP LC3β is primarily localized in the cytosol and becomes associated with autophagosome membranes during the autophagy process, a vital mechanism for cellular homeostasis and the removal of damaged organelles.
