SEE ALSO...

DDX17 Antibody (H-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects DDX17 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-DDX17 antibody (H-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DDX17, also known as DEAD box protein 17 or p72, plays a crucial role in RNA metabolism, particularly in unwinding RNA structures, which is essential for processes such as translation initiation and splicing. This unwinding activity is vital for proper functioning of ribosomes and spliceosomes, which are necessary for protein synthesis and gene expression regulation. DDX17′s involvement in these fundamental cellular processes highlights its importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating developmental pathways. DDX17 has been shown to interact with several transcription factors, including estrogen receptor alpha, p53, MyoD, and Runx2, thereby influencing growth regulation and differentiation. Dysregulation of DDX17 has been linked to developmental disorders such as Down Syndrome and has been implicated in colon cancer progression, making DDX17 a potential therapeutic target for cancer treatment.
