Datasheets
  • coilin Antibody (H1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against isolated nuclei from the oocytes of Xenopus laevis
  • recommended for detection of coilin of x origin by WB, IP and IF
  • m-IgG1 BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for coilin Antibody (H1) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with coilin Antibody (H1) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

Coilin Antibody (H1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects coilin in species reactivity X through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-coilin antibody (H1) plays a crucial role in the study of nuclear coiled bodies, which are small nuclear organelles essential for RNA transcription and processing. Coilin (H1) antibody detects a protein vital for the proper formation of Cajal bodies, as coilin contains a nucleolar localization signal and is a self-associating protein. Coilin monoclonal antibody (H1) recognizes a protein that directly binds to survival motor neuron (SMN) proteins, facilitating the recruitment of SMN complex proteins to Cajal bodies and influencing the assembly of the nucleolus during development. Notably, the N-terminus of coilin harbors the self-associating domain, while the C-terminus regulates the number of Cajal bodies within the cell, highlighting the importance of structural features in cellular organization and function.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with coilin (H1): sc-53979?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
