    SEE ALSO...

CD4 Antibody (C-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody developed to recognize human CD4 protein, also known as T4 or Leu-3, across applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CD4 antibody (C-1) targets an epitope encompassing amino acids 26-396 of human CD4 protein, ensuring effective binding and detection in various experimental settings. CD4 is a membrane-bound glycoprotein composed of four extracellular immunoglobulin-like domains, a transmembrane region, and a cytoplasmic tail, playing a crucial role in the immune system. Post-translational modifications, particularly glycosylation, are essential for CD4′s stability, proper folding, and interactions with other proteins, such as the T cell receptor (TCR) and class II major histocompatibility complex (MHC II) molecules. These modifications enhance CD4′s functionality as a co-receptor, facilitating stronger and more stable interactions between TCR and MHC II, which are vital for effective T cell activation and robust adaptive immune responses. Additionally, glycosylation of CD4 influences CD4′s role as a receptor for HIV, affecting viral binding and entry into host cells. Located on the surface of T helper cells, macrophages, dendritic cells, and other immune cells, CD4 is integral to coordinating immune responses and maintaining immune system balance. CD4 monoclonal antibody (C-1) enables researchers to investigate expression patterns, post-translational modifications, and functional dynamics of CD4, providing valuable insights into immune regulation, T cell development, and disease mechanisms.
