Ajuba Antibody (F-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects Ajuba in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Ajuba, a member of the Zyxin family, plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, particularly in the regulation of the IL-1 signaling pathway, where Ajuba modulates interleukin-1-induced NFκB activation by influencing the assembly and activity of the αPKC/p62/TRAF6 multiprotein signaling complex. This regulation is vital for controlling inflammatory responses and cellular signaling pathways that can impact cell survival and proliferation. Additionally, Ajuba is involved in cadherin-mediated cell-cell adhesion, which is essential for maintaining tissue integrity and facilitating cell migration during development and wound healing. In terms of cellular localization, Ajuba is predominantly found in the cytoplasm of unsynchronized HeLa cells, but during the G2/M phase of the cell cycle, Ajuba translocates to the centrosome, where Ajuba interacts with LATS2 to help organize the spindle apparatus by recruiting γ Tubulin, thereby ensuring proper chromosome segregation during cell division. The presence of Ajuba in various adult mouse tissues, including skin, brain, and genitourinary organs, underscores Ajuba′s importance in both developmental and physiological contexts.
