ZP3 Antibody (G-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ZP3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ZP3 Antibody (G-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ZP3 plays a crucial role in the fertilization process, acting as a sperm receptor located in the zona pellucida, the extracellular matrix surrounding the oocyte. ZP3 is essential for the initial binding of sperm to the oocyte, which is a critical step in fertilization. Upon sperm binding, ZP3 triggers the acrosome reaction, a process that releases enzymes necessary for the sperm to penetrate the zona pellucida and reach the oocyte.
