Tryprostatin A ist ein Diketopiperazin. Stoppt die Zellzyklusprogression in der G2/M-Phase. Es hemmt den ABC-Transporter, das Resistenzprotein von Brustkrebs, und hebt dadurch die Resistenz von Krebszellen gegen Antitumormittel auf. Hemmstoff der MAP-abhängigen Mikrotubuli-Montage.
