NFATc2 Antibody (4G6-G5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects NFATc2 of mouse, rat, and human origin through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunohistochemistry (IHC). NFATc2 monoclonal antibody (4G6-G5) is offered in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NFATc2, also known as nuclear factor of activated T cells 2, plays a crucial role in the immune response by regulating the expression of cytokine genes in T cells. Upon activation of the T cell receptor, the calcium-dependent protein phosphatase calcineurin is stimulated, leading to the translocation of NFATc2 from the cytoplasm to the nucleus. In the nucleus, NFATc2 collaborates with AP-1 transcription factors to initiate the transcription of genes essential for T cell activation and function. This process is vital for the proper immune response, as NFATc2 influences the production of cytokines that mediate inflammation and immune regulation. Additionally, NFATc2 shares significant sequence identity with other NFAT family members, such as NFATc1, NFATc3, and NFATc4, which further underscores its importance in the coordinated regulation of immune responses.
