CREB3L3 Antibody (F-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CREB3L3 in mouse samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CREB3L3, also known as cAMP-responsive element-binding protein 3-like protein 3 or HYST1481, is a 461 amino acid single-pass type II membrane protein primarily localized to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). CREB3L3 undergoes cleavage during ER stress and translocates to the nucleus to function as a transcription factor. This translocation activates genes involved in the unfolded protein response and the acute phase response, both vital for cellular homeostasis and stress management. CREB3L3 is underexpressed in hepatocellular carcinoma, indicating potential tumor suppressor function. CREB3L3 operates as a dimer and features a leucine zipper domain, a KDEL-like sequence, and a bZIP domain, which are essential for DNA binding capabilities. Alternative splicing results in three isoforms of CREB3L3, further diversifying functional roles in cellular processes.

Are there any issues with using sc-377331: CREB3L3 (F-9) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-377331 conjugates.
