TRPC4 Inhibitors

TRPC4 Inhibitors encompasses compounds that potentially modulate the function of TRPC4 by influencing ion channel activities and related cellular processes. These inhibitors do not directly target TRPC4 but affect the cellular environment and mechanisms in which TRPC4 operates.Compounds such as SKF-96365, 2-APB, La3+, Ruthenium Red, Gd3+, and Flufenamic acid are known to modulate various ion channels, including TRP channels, and could potentially inhibit TRPC4 activity. SKF-96365 and 2-APB, in particular, are often used as non-selective TRP channel blockers in experimental settings. La3+ and Ruthenium Red are broad-spectrum calcium channel blockers that may also impact TRPC4 function. Other inhibitors, including Pyrazole Compound 3, ML204, Econazole, Mibefradil, SAR7334, and Nifedipine, affect different aspects of ion channel dynamics. Pyrazole Compound 3 and ML204 have been reported as selective TRPC4 inhibitors. Econazole and Mibefradil also show activity in modulating ion channels and might indirectly affect TRPC4.
