Ebi2 Activators

EBI2, or GPR183, is a G protein-coupled receptor expressed predominantly in immune cells and is implicated in the regulation of immune cell trafficking and positioning within lymphoid tissues. While direct chemical activators for EBI2 are not commonly identified, its function and expression can be influenced indirectly by compounds that affect immune cell signaling and function. Oxysterols such as 7α,25-Dihydroxycholesterol and 7α-Hydroxycholesterol are natural ligands for EBI2 and can modulate its activity.
