AOAH Activators

Acyloxyacyl Hydrolase (AOAH) is a significant protein involved in modulating the immune response, particularly in the detoxification of lipopolysaccharides (LPS) from Gram-negative bacteria. One of the known inducers of AOAH expression is LPS itself. When immune cells, such as alveolar macrophages, encounter LPS, the expression of AOAH is notably increased, aiding in the neutralization of the immunostimulatory properties of LPS.
