O-Phospho-L-serine is an L-AP4 (sc-200432) agonist and a competitive NMDA antagonist. O-Phospho-L-serine has affinity for mGluR-4 (type IV), but not type I, metabotropic glutamate group III receptor agonist (mGluR-4, mGluR-7, and mGluR-8). O-Phospho-L-serine also inhibits proliferation and enhances neuronal differentiation in progenitor cells.
