1,2-Dipalmitoyl-L-α-phosphatidyl-D-myo-inositol 4,5-bisphosphate is a 4,5-bisphosphate group on the inositol ring is critical for binding specifically to PH domains that are commonly present in signalling proteins. Also found in cytoskeleton.
